COURIER- PRN

Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates company vehicle to transport items such as bank deposits, medical supplies, specimens, equipment, laundry, building materials, furniture, fixtures, and similar items to, from and within Johnson Memorial Health (JMH) locations.

Picks up mail from post office and post office boxes.

Banking: Makes deposits, buys change for cashier, etc.

Delivers materials to members of Board of Trustees.

Delivers specimens, supplies and reagents to other labs and makes pick-ups at blood bank.

Makes scheduled and unscheduled daily pickups for department: physicians’ offices, nursing homes, Plan Operations, Surgery, Nutritional Services, etc.; delivers special request items to department upon return to hospital. Keeps manual records of daily trips.

Assists with receiving and supply distribution as needed.

Performs other duties as required.

Clearly communicates and continuously supports the Mission and Values of Johnson Memorial Health.

Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: 

Current unrestricted Indiana driver’s license required. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience helpful.

SCHEDULE: 


Varied day shift hours; Monday-Friday.
PRN with no guaranteed hours.
