Primary Function The Technology Products Engineer II supports and maintains technology equipment for the heavy earthmoving and mining industries while ensuring customer support agreements are executed professionally through scheduled maintenance, repair, and training. This role is responsible to build strong relationships with operational and management personnel, assist account managers and product support teams with the promotion and adoption of CAT, Trimble, and related technology products, and help drive efficiency and market growth. The position represents SITECH Precision and Gregory Poole as industry leaders through technical expertise, teamwork, and professionalism.
Essential Duties Customer Support and Technology Service - Provide technical support for CAT, Trimble, and related technology systems
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of digital and analog electronic components, electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and wireless networks
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of technology equipment
- Ensure preventative maintenance is completed in accordance with customer contracts
- Deliver basic and advanced customer training programs and assist in the development of training materials
Sales Support and Customer Development - Identify technology sales opportunities and communicate recommendations to Sales Account Managers
- Assist account managers and product support representatives with promotion of technology products
- Develop trusted customer relationships and act as the preferred technology advisor
- Support sales of technology solutions to improve efficiency of customer operations
Communication, Safety, and Compliance - Maintain open communication with managers, team members, and customers
- Work safely at all times and comply with company and customer safety policies and procedures
- Promote corporate values and professional conduct in all interactions
Minimum Requirements Education
High school diploma or GED required; some college or technical school preferred.
Work Experience
- Must have proven technical skills - 7 + years of industry experience.
Physical
- Must have the ability to communicate verbally.
- Must be able to perform essential physical functions including regular use of hands and frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work around electrical hazards, moving mechanical parts, heights, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to work in loud environments while wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Must have the ability to perform close visual work.
- Must be able to travel as necessary, including overnight trips and occasional weekends.
Other
- Demonstrated technical aptitude with electronic, mechanical, and GPS-based systems.
- Must understand analog and digital sensors and their application and utilization to augment GPS data.
- Must understand electrical circuit theory and be able to read electrical schematics.
- Must be able to use a multi-meter and test for voltage, current, and continuity.
- Must have a basic level of understanding of Global Positioning Systems and its theory.
- Must have knowledge of how wireless networks work and be able to troubleshoot issues in the field.

- Ability to obtain MSHA certification and complete site-specific training and pit driving as it pertains to contracted sites.
- Must have strong computer skills including e-mail, Microsoft Office, networking, software installation, and file flipping.
