Description:
The Manager of Acquisition and Retention Marketing at Wind River Environmental is a key member of the marketing team, responsible for deep analysis and developing and driving the execution of both digital and traditional acquisition and retention campaigns. We seek someone who is scrappy and who will move the needle in an environment where those with entrepreneurial skills thrive best, and accountability is paramount. The position supports both our residential and commercial lines of businesses on a temporary basis. Success is tying insights and analysis to management of programs, testing, learning and growth. You are someone who lives and breathes these things and can translate that passion into continued profitable growth.
- This is a hybrid/remote position with one day a week required in Marlborough, MA
- Please note – this is a temporary position to cover for a leave of absence.
- Expected dates: May 5th-September 15th, 2026
- Hourly pay range: $50-$55/hour
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Measurement and Reporting
- Own weekly, monthly and annual channel success tracking by evaluating key performance indicators (CAC, ROAS, CPL, etc.).
- Own all acquisition and customer engagement metrics (including UTMS and trackable numbers) and reporting for the company, including our board.
Customer Acquisition and Engagement
- Work with our vendors, platforms and data to manage PPC, programmatic display, direct mail, customer referral and other test channels including social media. Ensures strong ROI and smooth-frictionless customer journeys.
- Monitors the health of organic lead volume and conversion and optimizes as necessary. Launches new campaigns as need to help influence health of organic channels.
- Determine strategies, create templates, execute flows and campaigns for email, direct mail, SMS and voicemail using HubSpot, Podium, Dialpad, Poplar and other tools and platforms. This includes data hygiene within HubSpot and other internal data sources.
- Develop, test, measure, optimize and personalize messages and offers in order to increase customer engagement, loyalty and win backs across the customer base.
- Increase retention by utilizing relevant, targeted communications, effective life-cycle management, and other CRM tactics (Email, Direct Mail, social media and our website).
Conversion Optimization
- Working with our VP of Residential Product, optimize the user experience on bookmyseptic.com and Wrenvironmental.com to increase conversions and help visitors achieve their goals, including development and management of abandon cart programs and other tactics.
Budgeting
- Manage all external vendor/platform relationships including monthly/annual billing and agreements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in marketing, economics, data science, entrepreneurship or related fields.
- A minimum of one to three years of successful digital performance marketing.
- A track record of managing B2C digital acquisition and retention campaigns through various channels, including, but not limited to email, SEO, PPC, paid social, text, voicemail, direct mail and display.
- Deep knowledge of pay-per-click with experience in creating, implementing, and optimizing PPC campaigns.
- Knowledge of digital advertising technology and experience working with multi touch attribution and managing performance campaigns.
- Knowledge and experience with Google Analytics and Hubspot.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
