Overview
Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Supervisor at our facility in Ashland, VA. You will be part of a growing leadership team as we continue to make investments in the Ashland area. In this position, you will play a role in operations start-up of a new facility and have responsibility for supervising standard warehouse functions. You will be accountable for proactively coordinating all resources (people/material/equipment) to achieve our goals in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Responsibilities
Maintain a safe work environment for the warehouse teamsProvide training, auditing and implementing new policies and proceduresProvide direct floor supervision of inbound and outbound operationsMeet and exceed KPI's for quality, service, and costsProvide performance reporting to management team and use this data to lead and support continual process improvement initiativesCross-functionally support site production operations including hiring, training and development of warehouse staffDevelop team members in their skills and career growthBe flexible and adaptable to changing marketsBe an innovative thinker and customer focusedStay aligned to Lutron’s culture and values:Be passionateBe flexible and adaptable to changeBe an innovative thinkerBe customer focusedBe ethical
Qualifications
2 - 4 year degree in Business or Supply Chain is preferredIf you have a degree, a minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required 3 - 5 years of Warehouse/Distribution experience; 3+ years supervision experienceExperience leading othersProven problem-solving abilityAdvanced math and computer skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsLutron Electronics’ position as the worldwide leader in innovative lighting control and shading solutions has enabled consistent, annual growth.
