As our Pressroom Assistant 2, you will: - Assist in basic setup and operation of the press including loading paper, hanging plates, etc
- Provide proper preparation and operation of the press to include application of ink, plates, blankets and inline solutions
- Maintain supplies and chemicals needed to run press efficiently and to customers specifications
- Perform assigned tasks to meet the production and quality standards for press operation.
- Adhere to quality standards and assist the operator on monitoring the quality of work being printed.
- Read and interpret job ticket instructions
- Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping functions
- Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shift and lift up to 60lbs
- May be exposed to liquid chemicals or vapors
Qualifications: - Ability to read and understand written instructions
- High levels of attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team
- Mechanically inclined
- Must be able to read a standard ruler
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Technical training with printing concentration preferred
