Job Summary

As an Engineering Intern at Mezzo, you will work under the guidance of experienced Mezzo engineers, contributing directly to active projects while gaining meaningful, hands-on engineering experience.  You will support the design, prototyping and production of Mezzo micro-tube heat exchangers, helping take concepts from early design stages through testing and production. 


This internship is an opportunity to develop technical skills, learn industry best practices, and participate in real-world engineering workflows. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of micro-tube heat exchangers and related components 
  • Create and update CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
  • Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing activities in lab and production environments
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret test data; communicate findings to the engineering team 
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas for improving product performance and manufacturability 
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff to resolve technical issues 
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace



Requirements:



Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience designing mechanical components 
  • Experience using SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software packages 
  • Strong aptitude in machine design elements (e.g., fasteners, elastomer seals, welded joints) 
  • Experience with materials selection for mechanical design
  • Working knowledge of high-precision manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability 
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and technical specifications 
  • Excellent technical reasoning and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Proficiency with hand tools and basic fabrication equipment 


This is a full-time, paid internship spanning from May - August of 2026. 


This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
