Save-A-Pet USA is a nonprofit animal rescue and shelter located on Long Island, New York, dedicated to giving vulnerable animals a second chance at life. Since 1994, we have rescued and rehomed more than 40,000 companion animals, with a special commitment to animals who are often overlooked by traditional shelters—including senior dogs, special-needs animals and those facing euthanasia.

We are a hands-on, mission-driven organization with an on-site veterinary clinic that plays a vital role in everything we do. Our veterinary team provides medical care for our shelter animals while also supporting community programs, TNR, preventive wellness and care for the families who have adopted from Save-A-Pet.

We are now reimagining our veterinary program and looking for a veterinarian who wants to be part of building something truly meaningful.
