A mid-size hospital is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Putnam, Connecticut. This outpatient oncology and hematology position includes some inpatient consults and follow-ups, with no rounding required on weekends or holidays. The provider will see 1520 patients per day, a mix of follow-ups and new oncology and hematology cases, with flexibility based on the provider's input. The assignment is full-time and ongoing, ideally starting within 60 days of confirmation, and lasting six months or longer. Call is light and shared 1:3 on weekdays and weekends, with rare need to come in. The schedule is 3 days per week, with call taken every third week. The role is supported by a team including 2 MDs (one part-time), RNs, an APP, and other clinical staff such as a nurse manager, pharmacists, and a nutritionist.
