Description: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) manages all aspects of perioperative care including pre-operative assessment, initiation, and maintenance of general anesthesia and/or sedation, airway management, emergence, and post-anesthesia care. Responsible for preparing and administering anesthetic agents to surgical patients, and to reversibly depress bodily functions, or otherwise desensitize a patient to permit the performance of medical or surgical procedures.
