The Computer Operator II monitors and controls mainframe or minicomputer systems to process data, following operating instructions to set up equipment, run jobs, manage input/output materials, troubleshoot errors, maintain records, and may test or help modify programs, with roles ranging from trainees to lead operators providing technical support.
