Plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy. Treats patients of all ages with a variety of physical disabilities. Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and other members of the healthcare team. Maintains accurate documentation of therapy services in the medical record. May supervise certified occupational therapy assistants, therapy techs, and students. Facilitates program development. Assists with professional growth of staff therapists, techs/aids, and students. Reports to the department Supervisor. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
