Position Summary: The Die Cast Operator will create, adapt, and adjust molds used in cast manufacturing. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Constructs, adapts, and modifies molds for die cast tooling, metal stamping, and other molding operations. Uses various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections before, during, and after molding operations. Sets up equipment based on mold requirements, materials, and tolerances. Executes production runs; conducts quality control testing before mold enters production cycle. Maintains knowledge of materials and products. Assists machinists and millwrights with injection molding process and equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned.
