Overview:
Direct and supervise the the marine workforce, facilities and equipment for the safe and efficient transfer of materials between vessel and dock at the marine terminal. Direct and supervise rail activity, loading and unloading vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Studies receiving or shipping notices, requests for movement of raw materials and finished products, and space available to develop schedule for material handling activities. Must be able to operate various types of terminal equipment (loaders,material handlers,haul trucks,excavators) Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products. Verifies or prepares records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
