The Cleaning Room General role supports the finishing department. In this position, you will be working directly with iron castings. Castings enter the Cleaning Room on a conveyor. You and your team members – under the direction of a Team Lead - will inspect each casting and use hand-held tools to remove excess metal and then move the casting it to the appropriate conveyor or palette sometimes using a hoist or a winch. This is a physical position. You and your team members will be on your feet the entire shift, taking instruction and direction from a Team Lead. You will be working in a loud, warm, and dirty environment. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have good hand-eye coordination and possess the ability to multi-task.
