Accountant III Position Summary The Accountant III provides advanced accounting, financial analysis, and reporting support to the CBP Office of Finance. This position is responsible for performing ledger operations, analyzing transactions, preparing corrective action plans, reviewing internal controls, and recommending improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. The Accountant III also prepares reconciliations, charts, graphs, spreadsheets, issue papers, and interprets financial and accounting data for program officials, managers, and supervisors. Essential Functions Extract and analyze data related to CBP program activities from CBP and DHS systems.
