Job Summary The Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) supports professional land surveying projects through a combination of field surveying, survey computations, data processing, drafting, research, and project coordination. The successful candidate may have already passed the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) examination or must be willing to work toward passing the FS examination and ultimately obtaining Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure in Alaska. The position requires a developing understanding of surveying principles and the ability to apply those principles to boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys under the responsible charge of a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS). This position requires a combination of office and field survey work.
