*ABOUT THE ROLE* The Cardiovascular ICU Advance Practice Provider functions within the adult ICU areas and is integral member of a multidisciplinary health care team. The CVICU APP functions primarily managing critically ill adults and serves as a resource throughout UKHC for intensive care interventions. The APP is generally on a service aligned team and manages the day-to-day patient care from ICU to step down to discharge. In some instances, the APP may have responsibilities for this same patient population as they return for follow up in the outpatient setting.
