*Program Overview* The Occupational Mentor Certification Program (OMCP) is a groundbreaking correctional education initiative serving individuals currently incarcerated within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). Operated by Options Recovery Services, OMCP provides top-tier substance use disorder education, training, and certification, preparing participants to become Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselors (AOD) in the State of California. Options launched a pilot program at San Quentin State Prison in 2006. In collaboration with CDCR, OMCP was officially established at California State Prison, Solano in 2009. Since then, it has expanded to multiple training sites and earned national recognition as a high-quality program that transforms the lives of its participants and the communities they serve.
