The Clinician Informatician (CI), at the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), is a practicing medical provider that serves as the lead clinician for the implementation and optimization of clinical IT applications at NEVHC, such as modules of the electronic health record and electronic registries, and acts as the liaison between clinical staff and the IT department in this regard. This individual will work with IT staff, clinical support staff and physicians to optimize the usage of clinical IT systems through education and training, ongoing technical support, and monitoring of performance. The CI also has primary responsibility for evaluating the needs and requirements for clinical IT applications in ambulatory healthcare settings and participates in the selection of new IT applications that impact clinical care.
