Overview: This position provides respiratory therapy care for patients throughout the hospital. We have not hired certified vs registered respiratory therapist in several years due to registered therapists being available. The training for the 2 positions is the same. Testing is more indepth for registered therapists so we will be using the certified therapists in the lower acuity areas of the hospital. The intent is to bring in more respiratory therapists to help replace the 35 travelers the inpatient respiratory therapy department currently has.
