*POSITION SUMMARY: *The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) supports veterinarians in managing shelter population health and delivering accessible preventative care to the community. This position operates in a fast-paced environment supporting high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) surgical flows, public wellness appointments, and medical triage. *QUALIFICATIONS: * * Minimum of 1 year of experience in an animal hospital is highly desirable. * Current registration in the State of Ohio as a Registered Veterinary Technician at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment. *KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:* * Ability to assist veterinarians with soft-tissue surgery as directed. * Prepare animals for surgery; induce and monitor anesthesia. * Medicate and provide routine medical care and clinical laboratory tests to shelter animals, including blood draws, cytology, and urinalysis. * Render emergency treatment in life-threatening situations to sustain life. *...
