TransCore (TCI) is seeking a full-time Technician III to join our Fiber team in Houston, Texas. Summary: The Technician III performs precise fusion splicing of fiber optic cables, preparing fiber optic cables for splicing by stripping, cleaning, cleaving, and organizing fibers according to industry standards. They conduct comprehensive optical testing using OTDRs, Power Meter/Light Sources, Traffic Identifiers, and VFLs to verify splice quality, cable continuity, and network performance, as well as identifying and troubleshooting any defects or irregularities in the network.
