Job purpose The primary responsibilities are to setup and run Multi-Axis CNC Lathes with live tooling, CNC Mills all the while maintaining production efficiencies and part quality. Duties and responsibilities Setup, operate and debug CNC Lathes and Mill. Make machine tool offsets as needed to maintain part quality. Make minor program changes to NC code as needed. Identifies signs of tool wear and then makes the appropriate process or tool change(s). Reads process sheets and mechanical drawings with the understanding of GD&T. Works on multiple machines and performs multiple tasks throughout the day. Uses general measuring instruments such as; indicators, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, gage blocks, rules, protractor and height gages.
