Job Summary : Assists the pharmacist with all technician duties related to the preparation, gathering, labeling, and distribution of medications. Maintains working area in clean and orderly condition. Inspect drug storage areas; maintain inventory; manage medication supply; and provide technical support services to pharmacists. Prepare inpatient/outpatient prescriptions and/or orders; measure and fill patient’s medications; prepare labels; check medication rooms on units; check emergency boxes/code carts to verify locks are intact; check for outdated drugs in accordance with federal, state and accreditation standards. May deliver medications or run other errands/tasks as assigned by the pharmacist.
