This position is responsible for efficiently overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, specializing in compounding. Ensuring the pharmacy is following all federal and state compliance laws; making sure all pharmacists are properly trained to verify all new verbal, written and electronic prescriptions, counsel patients, clinics, and pharmacy technicians to ensure cleanliness and accuracy of all medications. *Key Responsibilities:* * Counsel patients and owners on all new prescriptions and answer any questions courteously and professionally. * Counsel Veterinarians about appropriate doses and dosage forms upon request. * Verify all new prescription * Check all finished prescriptions to ensure the correct medication, strength, dosage form, quantity and expiration date to ensure accuracy. * Verify that the sterility procedures are implemented and strictly followed by compounding technicians. * Verify all medication weights and volumes during compounding process to ensure...
