The Chen Lab at the University of South Florida focuses on structure-based design of small molecule inhibitors against bacterial, viral, and human proteins, and the subsequent use of these compounds in studying basic biological processes and developing novel therapeutic reagents. In addition to X-ray crystallography and molecular docking, we apply a wide range of cutting-edge molecular biology, biochemical, biophysical, and microbiology tools in our laboratory, including Cryo-EM.This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of laboratory or research experience. College coursework in a natural or physical science may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis.
