Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Appalachian Counseling & Psychological Services (ACAPS) is a multidisciplinary team providing therapy, psychological/neuropsychological testing, speech/language therapy, and medication management for a variety of patients. Our providers consist of doctorate and mid-level providers from a wide range of disciplines. We currently have positions open for therapists to provide individual outpatient therapy for adult services in our fast-paced clinic. Therapists will need to maintain effective relationships with other staff members to determine and meet the social, environmental, economic, and psychological needs of the patient and collaborate with other providers to ensure continuity of care. The pain psychologist will join the Specialty Care Psychology section of the Division of Psychology, which is housed in the Department of Pediatrics. We are seeking a pediatric psychologist with interest and expertise in providing direct clinical services within the pediatric pain population. The psychologist will work alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, specialty nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and massage therapists in the Integrated Pain and Wellness Program.
