Job Description: Multiple positions - under general supervision, perform chemical, microscopic and bacteriological tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Collect specimens from patients as ordered, analyze specimens, and record results as well as communicate same with appropriate hospital staff and collaborate with other departments to integrate lab services in patient care. Adjust test procedures for specific patient requirements (adult, geriatric, pediatric), interpret data to identify age-specific needs for patient care, and report abnormal or unusual test results. Monitor lab equipment and tests results produced, provide technical guidance, and evaluate new testing methods and procedures.
