Manager, Photonics Metrology Lab - 591 We are seeking an exceptional Manager – Photonics Metrology Lab in our Albuquerque, NM location to lead a group of optics/photonics engineers and AMO physicists in their cross-disciplinary efforts to empirically characterize next-generation optics and photonics solutions for trapped-ion quantum computers. This position involves direct supervision of front-line technical individual contributors, and may also involve hands-on duties in the laboratory where appropriate. The role also involves planning, designing, and overseeing the buildup of multiple phases of new lab space and capabilities. Technical capabilities addressed by this team include testbeds for integrated photonics component characterization at room temperature, and in-situ ion trapping systems designed to deliver data on the performance of photonic components co-integrated with ion traps.
