About this Job: General Summary of Position The Inpatient Pharmacy at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is hiring a Full Time Pharmacy Technician II. This 40 hour per week position rotates through day, mid and evening shifts with occasional night coverage. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II prepares and fills routine orders for prescribed medications; restocks automated dispensing machines; repackages medications; and compounds both sterile and non-sterile medications. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Safely and accurately prepares all medications in the readiest to administer form using proper techniques calculations and appropriate precautions.
