MaxCyte, Inc
Rockville, MD
Description:
The Scientist, Immunology & Non-viral engineering will support MaxCyte’s mission by developing and executing non-viral engineering workflows for immune cells using the company’s electroporation technology. This role combines immunology expertise with hands-on gene editing experience to generate high-quality data that advances internal R&D programs, customer collaborations, and platform innovation. The scientist will work cross-functionally to ensure scientific rigor, operational excellence, and alignment with MaxCyte’s non-viral engineering capabilities. Design and execute non-viral gene editing workflows using CRISPR/Cas systems, RNPs, mRNA, and DNA templates in primary cells and cell lines. Engineer primary human immune cells (T cells, NK cells, macrophages) and assess editing efficiency, viability, and functional outcomes. Perform activation, proliferation, cytokine profiling, cytotoxicity, and phenotyping assays to characterize engineered cells....
