Description :The lead pharmacist serves as the team lead and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for a designated pharmacy group, providing daily direction and support to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. They manage prescription orders/verify medication orders, monitor patient drug therapies, and offer drug information and patient education/counseling. The lead pharmacist also takes on additional responsibilities, including regulatory compliance and clinical initiatives, and may assume the pharmacy leader's duties in their absence. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential for success in this fast-paced, patient-focused role. In addition, the individual will exemplify the CoxHealth mission, vision, and values and act in accordance with CoxHealth policies and procedures.
