Position Summary
The Supervisor of the Nutrition department supervises the nutrition employees of the kitchen and cafeteria in the absence of the manager. Monitors and assists in the provision of patient room service, catering, purveyor orders and cafeteria meal services. Follows and monitors for compliance appropriate sanitation regulations concerning food handling, preparation, storage and ware washing. The employee is expected to be involved in the planning and facilitation of change in an effort to continually improve the services of the Nutrition Department.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and cafeteria to include but not limited to: monitoring the patient trayline, providing caterings to patrons and assuring all equipment is monitored and in working order.
2. Monitors the sanitation of department and staff compliance to assure regulations are being adhered to.
