Description *This position is located at Nicklaus Children's and will be based out of Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs and will also include working at the main campus in Miami. Job Summary The Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship (ID/ASP) Clinical Pharmacy Specialist takes an active role in the Infectious Disease Service providing patient care recommendations on pharmacotherapy, assessing drug interactions, drug dosages, comprehensive cost-effective guideline- directed medical therapies, as well as optimizing concomitant medications to improve patient outcomes and minimize risk for adverse events according to hospital policies, professional standards of practice and, State and Federal laws. Collaborates with a team to optimize drug therapy outcomes for patients throughout the hospital that are evidence based and patient centered. Participates in interdisciplinary medical team rounds.
