PBC Research Tech IV Health Sciences Core Research Facilities - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (25006737) The Pitt Biospecimen Core (PBC) is an institutional resource for collection, processing, and disbursement of biospecimens dedicated to serving the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Faculty in meeting their research needs. PBC Labs are located at UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Magee-Womens, UPMC Shadyside and UPMC Children’s Hospitals. Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work. Reviewing the Operating Room schedule to identify cases eligible for research projects. Working closely with the Department of Pathology, the incumbent will collect, process, disburse, and store human biological materials based on established protocols. Processing may include but is not limited to aliquoting blood products, gross dissection of tissue, and PBMC isolation.
