The Instrumentation/Controls Technician tests, calibrates, and repairs electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards, and assists in formulating calibration standards by performing the following duties. Role and Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems. Troubleshoot and repair controls hardware including controllers, relays, measurement devices, actuators, etc. Assists staff in design and development of products, systems, processes, and/or equipment b analyzing technical problems and working closely with customer specifications.
