Description:
Set up, adjust and operate cutoff saw, tube straightening and shot blast equipment. Perform a variety of operations of a roughing nature. Speeds, feeds and operational sequences usually established but operator may adjust or modify within standard practice. Perform basic maintenance on equipment as needed. Ensure heat number traceability. Initiate process change requests and maintain accurate records of operations. Work from written or verbal instruction, drawings, process sheets, route cards and knowledge of production operations to anticipate department needs and operate power forklift truck to transport materials, parts, fixtures, equipment and castings as needed to facilitate production. Maintain log and service record on forklift equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor. Perform level I liquid penetrant inspection including application of visible and/or fluorescent inspection to identify defects. Perform cosmetic and investigative grinding as needed...
