About the Role The primary purpose of the Pediatric Trauma Program Manager (PTPM) position is to improve patient care and systems practice on the Pediatric Trauma service. The PTPM participates in the implementation, advancement, evaluation, and day to day operation of the Pediatric Trauma Center. Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skill in the care of pediatric trauma patients and is responsible for Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance for all pediatric trauma patients. Participates in education, system initiatives, research, injury prevention and outreach activities. Represents the Pediatric Trauma Center at local, state, and national organizations. The PTPM collaborates with Trauma Physicians, the Trauma Team, Trauma Program Manager and with all other health care disciplines to provide excellent clinical care to the pediatric population.
