The Infection Preventionist (IP) implements measures that will protect the residents and staff in the community. The IP is responsible for assessing the education needs of the staff and coordinate programs based upon identified needs and ensure State and Federal compliance.
Skills Needed:
Passion for Education and Training : Effectively educate healthcare staff and patients about infection prevention practices.
Leadership : The ability to lead and motivate others to follow infection prevention practices.
Data Management and Analysis : Monitor, track, analyze data and trends associated with infections, immunizations and antibiotic use.
Supportive Presence : Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
Requirements:
Active Indiana RN license or ability to obtain Indiana license.
