JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Graduate of a School of Practical Nursing. Completion of LPNII course. Experience Two (2) years nursing experience, with one-year practice following completion of LPN II course. One (1) year experience must be a hospital setting in a medical-surgical environment. Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to and communicate with primarily the geriatric population, and to a lesser degree the pediatric and adult populations. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Able to assess data reflecting the patients’ status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
