SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:  The Maintenance Mechanic performs repair and preventative maintenance work on industrial equipment including gas, diesel and mobile equipment; to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, and to perform safety compliance inspections. Assists in the departmental housekeeping and safety efforts, orders parts required to maintain repair part inventories, and works collaboratively with equipment repair mechanics, production counterparts, and vendors to ensure production workflow. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be competent with the use of PC, email, text messaging, internet research, and software-based maintenance.
