The Volunteer Services Manager, Patient and Family Advisory Councils is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers to support the organization's programs and events. This role involves developing strategies to enhance volunteer engagement and ensuring that volunteer activities align with organizational goals. This person oversees the Patient and Family Advisory Councils and our E-voices Network. The Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFACs) at Dana-Farber include patients, family members, and staff. There are separate councils for adult care (Adult Patient and Family Advisory Council, or APFAC) and pediatric care (Pediatric Patient and Family Advisory Council, or PPFAC). Our Council members share their experiences to make a positive impact on the patient/family experience for others.
