Description:
The Operations Accountant position, based in Michigan City, Indiana, reports to the Manager, Operations Finance and Analysis and is responsible for analyzing PPV and manufacturing variances, inventory reconciliations, cycle count reporting and analysis and partnering with plant managers to develop and review various operational metrics. This role ensures the accuracy of cost records, monitors cost variances, and contributes to budgeting and forecasting. Key Responsibilities: · Develop and maintain standard cost systems and cost accounting records. Analyze production costs, material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead expenses. Prepare cost reports comparing actual costs to standard or budgeted costs. Investigate and explain variances between actual and expected results.
