Your Daily Work: Follow up on unpaid hospital patient accounts with insurance companies. This includes checking payment status, rebilling, adjusting financial classes, and documenting all steps taken. Manage 30-40 patient accounts daily for your assigned insurance providers. Address denied claims and zero-payment reports within 48 hours. Talk with insurance companies to get outstanding balances paid. Research unpaid accounts and guide them through the correct process. Document your findings and next steps clearly. Suggest account adjustments based on guidelines. Help with team projects to meet client agreements. Work with other teams to solve project issues.
