PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This position provides ongoing support for all Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) software and related applications within BBAHC and Kanakanak Hospital. Works with Laboratory management to oversee quality assurance activities for the laboratories. QUALIFICATIONS: Meets the qualifications of testing personnel in a high complexity Laboratory, as defined in 493.1489 of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA). Bachelor's degree in a related clinical laboratory or computer field (e.g., Health Infmmation Management, Medical Laboratory Science, Computer Science). Two (2) years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining a hospital LIS, preferably Orchard Harvest/Outreach. Two (2) years of experience navigating and routinely interacting with a hospital information system, preferably Cerner.
