Overview:
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM The Patient Access Specialist/Medical Assistant will collect data, make assessments, and determine needed interventions with patient care. This includes evaluating symptoms, effectiveness of treatment and when to call back. The medical triage MA will document patient complaints/symptoms, advice and patient/caller response. The triage MA will be responsible for triaging patient phone calls to determine necessity for medical appointments, prescription refills, and or other information needed.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients over the phone to determine the type of care needed. Follow triage procedure protocols to obtain information to make accurate assessments. Scheduling and coordinate urgent medical appointments. Call/fax medication refills to appropriate pharmacy. Answer patient questions on a wide range of medical topics. Coordinates well with all other departments to ensure patient satisfaction....
