The Advanced Practice Provider ( APP ) in the ambulatory care setting works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team in the student health environment. The complexity of the student health/ UHS service line requires an in depth knowledge of the multiple aspects of primary care throughout the continuum and the ability to develop a thorough health care plan for the patients seen in this space. On occasion the APP who functions primarily in the clinic may perform some coordination of inpatient care and outpatient follow-up after discharge.
