*Overview* Operates diagnostic X-ray equipment to perform a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance to departmental procedures, policies and protocols as indicated by the Medical Director and management. Positions patients on radiographic equipment and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols. Practice radiation protection techniques using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills and knowledge of applicable exposure factors, to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Assists patients with basic patient care needs.
