Reporting to the Sr Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, the Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, Litigation is responsible for leading and managing Independence's litigation related activities. The Vice President & Deputy General Counsel will lead a team of attorneys and legal professionals in the Company's Legal Department to provide advice, guidance, and counsel to the management of Independence Blue Cross, LLC, its subsidiaries and affiliates (hereinafter collectively the Company or Independence) on: n the defense and prosecution of active litigation impacting the Company; n the management of current and developing litigation risks; and n the coordination of efforts across the Company to mitigate litigation, business and compliance related risks.
