As a core member of the pediatric critical care transport team (rotor wing, ground) the Pediatric Critical Care Transport Paramedic practices with the critical care transport team members and collaborates with the team to facilitate the coordination of patient care in the transport environment. Through a combination of protocols and direct medical oversight, the pediatric Critical Care Transport Paramedic treats patient and family responses to actual or potential health problems.
